Congratulations to these new babies born at Lovelace!

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Lovelace Women’s Hospital teamed up with the American Heart Association today for Little Hats, Big Hearts – a community initiative to help raise awareness of congenital heart defects in newborns and heart health in general for the whole family. The AHA collected over 400 red hats from knitters throughout New Mexico to distribute to babies born at Lovelace Women’s Hospital during the month of February for Heart Month. For Valentine’s Day, the AHA and leadership at Lovelace Women’s Hospital gave a few of the new babies their hats, reminding parents to be aware that congenital heart defects are the number one cause of death in newborn babies, and that heart health should start early for the whole family.
